AI & Academic Disclaimer

Ozyplan uses AI to read your coursework and help you plan. It is good at that, and it is also not perfect. This page explains where AI is involved, where it is not, and how to use what it gives you.

Where AI is used

AI reads your coursework and works out what each piece of work is asking for; it picks assignments, quizzes and tests out of handouts and syllabi; it estimates how long things will take and what to do first; and it writes your plans, Study Packs and Worked Examples. Our AI provider is OpenAI.

Some of that happens without you asking. When coursework is imported, the most useful material is read automatically, and on accounts with Ozyplan Pro it keeps reading new coursework in the background. The same limits apply to that output as to anything you generate yourself.

Where AI is not used

Deciding what changed in your classes is not AI. Ozyplan compares what Canvas showed before with what it shows now, so a moved due date is a fact from Canvas, not a guess. Due dates and details that come straight from Canvas are shown as Canvas gives them.

AI can make mistakes

Plans, summaries, effort estimates, priorities and study material can be incomplete or wrong. Treat them as a strong starting point, not the final word.
Information can be wrong at the source. A due date in Canvas may be out of date, a rubric may have changed in class, and new material can appear after Ozyplan last looked. Ozyplan can only work from what it could see, when it saw it.
Deciding which enrolments are real classes, and which pieces of content are real work, involves judgment. Occasionally something is set aside that you wanted, or kept that you did not. You can review and change both.
When sources disagree or a date is unclear, Ozyplan says so instead of guessing — and every item shows where it came from, so you can check it.

Your teachers and school have the final word

Your teachers, your school and Canvas are the authority on due dates, instructions, requirements and grading — Ozyplan is not. Before you rely on anything important, such as a test date, a submission requirement, or how an assignment is graded, check it in Canvas or with your teacher.

Not professional advice

Ozyplan does not give academic-counseling, legal, medical, financial or other professional advice. Estimates such as effort hours and how at-risk a piece of work is are approximations to help you prioritise. They are not predictions of your grades or promises about any outcome.

Academic integrity

You are responsible for using Ozyplan in line with your school's academic-integrity rules. It is designed to help you understand your workload, plan your own work, and study from your own material — not to complete graded work for you. A Worked Example is built on a different premise from your assignment on purpose: same subject, same form, same requirements, but a different prompt, text or dataset — so it is something to learn from, not something to submit. If your teacher does not allow AI help on an assignment, follow their rule.
